BIO

Amanda Doherty is an actor and writer whose work focuses on raising understanding and bringing light to underheard stories. Previous works in the past have examined abortion rights, Irish Magdalene Laundries, and intergenerational PTSD. Her work has toured across Europe and the USA.

Having previously trained in classical theatre at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, she holds an MA in Film from Queen’s University, Belfast, where she is currently a PhD candidate. Her current doctoral research is practice based within screenwriting and focuses on the historical silencing of women in biopics.
